Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo)

The Open Source Geospatial Foundation has been created to support and build the highest-quality open source geospatial software. The foundation's goal is to encourage the use and collaborative development of community-led projects.

The WhereGroup supports OSGeo on a number of levels, including the development of the Mapbender software, provision of documentations, presentations and training material. We also sponsor the annual FOSSGIS conference.

Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) - Principal Member

The Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc.® (OGC) is a non-profit, international, voluntary consensus standards organization that is leading the development of standards for geospatial and location based services.

OGC currently counts more than 300 Members from Industry, Public and Private Sector and Academia.

The WhereGroup is Principal Member in OGC and represents requirements from Europe as well as the Open Source community.
