The WhereGroup is a medium sized enterprise offering geospatial services and solutions. Our core competencies are consultancy, conceptual design, implementation and operation of dynamic geospatial solutions, covering the full project cycle of design - build - operate.

Typical customer applications range from mapping services, such as interactive city maps, monitoring systems and geoportals, to more complex solutions for logistics, agricultural applications and risk management.

Standardized, Open and Secure

The WhereGroup is Principal Member of the Open Geospatial Consortium. Our customers not only benefit from standards based solutions: we also act as a channel to pro-actively feed back user requirements into the standardization process, and help shape tomorrows standards to comply with our customers' requirements.

Using open standards provides you with maximised interoperability and flexibility when deploying, operating or extending an architecture and helps to support efficiency and protect your investments in the long term.

Note that 'open' does not imply that everyone has access to everything: ensuring that individual security requirements are fully met is a standard aspect in most of our projects. 'Open' refers only to e.g. software code or the description of interfaces and thus supports your freedom to choose what suits your project requirements best.

Networking and Co-operation

The WhereGroup is engaged in Open Source Software development and actively supports the dialogue between developers and users at national as well as international levels. We supported the incorporation of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) in February 2006 and will continue to support OSGeo operations.
